What is this?
A 12V 2A plug-in power supply (PSU) for 12V routers, CCTV cameras, and Mini DC UPS units. It is the charger — not a backup battery.
Is it 2V or 12V?
12V 2A. The name “2V” on the page is a label error. Check your device label: it must say 12V.
Do I need this with the 13200mAh Mini DC UPS?
Yes, if you do not already have a 12V charger. That UPS does not include a PSU. Add this adaptor to the same order so the UPS can charge and run.
Will it work with my router or camera?
Only if the device is 12V and uses a 5.5mm × 2.1mm DC barrel connector. If your adaptor says 5V, 9V, 15V, or 24V, this is the wrong one. Send a photo of the label on Facebook and we will confirm.
Does this keep devices on during load shedding by itself?
No. When Eskom cuts, a wall adaptor dies with the power. You need a Mini UPS for backup. This PSU charges / powers the 12V device when electricity is on.
